Hi Mattie, thanks for talking to us today. So, how long have you been Stunt Riding and how did you get into it?

Hi, no problem it’s a pleasure! I have been stuntriding street bikes since 2004, but I have always been riding off road since I was a kid, with a particular interest in trials riding.

What have you been up to this year? Have you been in many competitions?

This year… so far I have been booked for shows most weekends so my weekdays have been taken up with training and organising ferries etc.…

Continuing our love affair with crazy World Records… this week we take a look across the park to Santa Pod for another ultra-impressive driving record. After Tanner Faust’s 332ft Jump at the Indy 500 last week, brothers Sam & Olly Young set a fantastic new World Record on 4 wheels – for electric car drag racing!

Having converted a 1965 VW Beetle to an electric power source, the brothers have created a monster by the name of ‘Black Current’ and raced their way into the record books.

Indy 500: Hot Wheels Break World Record – 332ft Truck Jump!

Tanner Foust broke a World Record at this year’s Indy 500, jumping 332ft from a 100ft steep ramp!

We love a good World Record here at Extreme Element having set one ourselves less than a year ago, and the events of this Sunday’s ‘Indy 500’ were definitely right up our street!

To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 (America’s best attended sporting event), the organisers and Tanner Foust created history in the most emphatic of fashions – by setting a new long distance truck jumping World Record. In front of thousands of avid fans, the famous stunt driver and American TV show host leapt a magnificent 332ft and eclipsed the previous record held by Johnny Greaves by 31ft (10%).
